Monopol Restaurant
Krakow
Overlooking the eastern side of Krakow's Planty gardens, and just a short step away from the Royal Castle on Wawel, the Best Western hotel is a clever fusion of modern design with traditional Krakow townhouse architecture. Inside, the hotel's signature Monopol restaurant also attracts non-residents with its fine cooking and elegant air-conditioned ambience.
The menu offers up a stylish combination of the best of Polish and international cuisine, and the well-appointed wine list means the restaurant is ideally suited for business lunches and formal occasions as well as more casual dining. A lavish buffet breakfast is available in the morning, and drinks and cocktails are served from noon.
With seating for up to a hundred people, Monopol is also an excellent choice for wedding receptions, and special showcase menus are available on request for such occasions. An added attraction on Friday nights is the live band, while during the summer months one can choose to relax in the chic and charming garden. Excellent facilities are also in place for business conferences, including full technical support and, importantly, ample car parking.
Although there are now a fair few good international standard restaurants in Krakow, the combination of style, comfort, proximity to the centre and friendly unfussy service means that Monopol has a secure position as one of the city's favourite places to dine out.
