Best food ever! Amazing experience! We booked our reservation in advance and glad we did. People were waiting to get there. The food was excellent, we had the mix of pierogi with spinach, meat and cheese-it melted in our mouth. In a good way. Then we ate the beef steak, with vegetables and potatoes- the combinations were so good! The service of a man who was serving us was extra, we had nice conversation with him, he was responsive and also made a surprise for our friend for her birthday. Glad we came, definitely will come back again when we visit Krakow next time.
A very pleasant restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was truly impressive – creative and flavorful dishes where every detail felt carefully considered. The combination of traditional flavors and modern touches made the meal both exciting and memorable. The service was friendly and professional, adding to an outstanding overall experience. Great restaurant in Kraków! When we arrived, the place was completely full and we were told there would be around a 40-minute wait. However, the staff managed to find us the only available table at the front of the restaurant, which we really appreciated. We ordered the Mix of Dumplings, the traditional Kraków-style Zalewajka soup served in a bread bowl, and the Kraków-Style Maczanka. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Maczanka was a perfect way to try a traditional Kraków speciality. The service was fast and efficient. The main course took a little longer to arrive, but considering the type of food being prepared, it was completely understandable. Including drinks, the bill came to around 280 PLN, which we felt was excellent value for the quality of the food and the overall experience. Highly recommended! 🇵🇱🍽️✨
I had a wonderful lunch at Starka Restaurant. The waitress was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant has a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere — the perfect spot for a leisurely meal. The pierogi were absolutely outstanding: perfectly handmade, delicate, and full of flavor — truly some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The beef cheeks were exceptional as well; the meat was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. For dessert, I had the cheesecake, and it was phenomenal — creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. As a lovely surprise, I was also offered a complimentary shot of their homemade vodka, which was a very nice touch. Considering the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience, the price was extremely fair. In my opinion, this is the best lunch spot in Kraków. Highly recommended!
