XVI DUMPLINGS FESTIVAL Mały Rynek

Sunday 19 August
Krakow Mały Rynek Krakow Old Town

The most delicious summer festival of Krakow is ahead of us!

From 15th to 19th August, for the sixteenth time, we will meet at the Pierogi (Dumplings) Festival on the Small Square. Apart from a few days of feasting and cooking workshops, we traditionally will have an artistic and musical program.

This year it will be possible to try dumplings from 15 different gastronomic points, which will compete for two awards: the statuette of St. Jacek with dumplings and the audience award - the statuette of Casimir the Great.
Knowing your tastes after the previous festival, we decided to devote a main contest this year to Russian dumplings, and the audience will be able to vote for any dumplings of their choice.

The best dumplings will be voted on by anyone who visits Mały Rynek on 17th August, tastes the offered products and completes the competition coupon. Voting will last until 6pm. The winners of both competitions will be announced on August 19th at noon.

During each of the festival days we will have a great pleasure not only to eat, but also to make dumplings at the workshops taking place on the stage. At 11am, 1pm and 3pm every day free workshops on how to make dumplings will be held - the art for some easy, for others difficult, but for everyone - satisfying and delicious in results.

August 15th is the day of the 'Wonderful Power of Bouquets' - we will start it with a mass for the gastronomy and merchants of Krakow (Bazylika Mariacka, 11:15am). As a part of the event accompanying the Pierogi Festival, floral shows, artistic performances and a competition for the most beautiful herbal bouquet will take place on the stage - we will be accepting entries and registering bouquets from 10 am to 13 next to the stage on Mały Rynek Square. At 2pm we will be happy to announce the winners.

During the five festival days there will also be concerts of Krakow bands presenting various musical styles.
August 15th at 3pm - Lachersi, 7pm Kraków Street Band,
A day later (16th August) 7pm Sokół Orkestar,
August 17th at 7pm - Kapela Hanki Wójciak,
August 18th at 7pm - Cheap Tobacco,
August 19th at 7pm - Lazy Swingers Band.
