Discover the Sanctuary of 'God's Mercy' in the Łagiewniki district in Krakow. The Sanctuary was built in 1889 and is the most popular and largest Sanctuary in Krakow. It is related to the life and activity of Faustyna Kowalska. You will not only see an impressive sanctuary, but also visit the tomb of John Paul II. A marble slab from the grave of John Paul II in Rome was installed in the chapel 'Don't be afraid!'. After the tomb of the Holy Father was moved from the Vatican Grotto, the gravestone was moved to Krakow. The observation tower in the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy is 77 m high, and two ways to get to the top - 315 steps to climb or elevator. The viewing gallery is at 46 meter.
