Just returned from a 5 day stay at Pod Wawelem. location is fab. The Sky Bar views in the hotel in itself were such a bonus. Rooms spotless and cleaned everyday. Aircon too which was life saver during these past few days. We had breakfast and that too was lovely. The biggest praise goes to the team of staff who add all do friendly and helpful. Bart has so much info to share in order to make your stay. Nothing is too much trouble ever from all of the team. We used one of the free bikes and Bart organised another bike to hire. We would have no hesitation in recommending and returning to this wonderful hotel. Thank you
What a fantastic find. Where do I start? Very nice hotel. It is older, but many of the floors have been renovated and updated with the remaining floors scheduled to be finished this year. Our bed was very comfortable. If you are facing the castle you will hear some street noise but that eventually stops at night. It did not interfere with our sleep. We even kept all the windows open. Marcin at the front desk was very nice and extremely helpful. Not only did he help us with upgrading to a corner room he personally helped move our luggage as well. The location and view is outstanding. One of the best in Krakow. The hotel is directly across the street from Wawel Castle, the river and about a 10 minute walk to Main Square and Kazmierz. A paid private parking lot is about 100 yards away, give or take a few yards. There is a restaurant on the first floor as well as a rooftop bar/restaurant. A shout out to Kamille and a huge Thank You from the "American" & Izabela. He was super friendly, polite and a pleasure to speak with. Even though I tried, I cannot find any thing negative to say about Pod Wawelem. When you take into account the location, the view, the rooftop bar and coziness of the hotel, this is in our top two favorites. Probably our favorite based on the location. Without a doubt we will be staying here again.
Very nice hotel in Krakow right next to the Wawel Castle. The service from the staff was fantastic when I stayed there with friends. Good breakfast options and evening meals also available. The bar on the roof offering special views of the castle and river is a must visit . Overall a great experience staying here.
Absolutely fantastic hotel staff are amazing go above and beyond very friendly and helpful Bart is a legend! Food is lovely rooms were spotless! Central to everything. Views are amazing. Will deffo be returning 💓
The staff exemplifies exceptional professionalism—consistently kind, helpful, and courteous. The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet, safe area near the castle, with downtown just a pleasant 20–30 minute walk away. The rooftop is truly wonderful, offering a memorable experience, while the rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. This property has set a new standard for excellence and is, without question, my favorite stay in Poland.
