This place is great, tucked away up some stairs in the old town. We worked our way through some of the cocktails on the card that was brought to the table, every one was different and unusual. Boris the Mixologist was a great host and certainly knows his trade.
Lovely dark, quiet room with upholstered chairs and sofas, and a "days of yore" atmosphere with nice cocktails out of an old tarot deck menu. We enjoyed the place very much!
Mr. Black is definetely woth a shot if you are looking to visit a truly hidden gem in Krakow. Just climb the stairs on the right to the second floor and delve into a bar experience to remember. I was convinced by its unique, stylisch, vintage chique ambience as well as the high quality of the unique cocktails offered. My personal favorite was the "Temperance", an homage to the polish dish Czernina in the form of a well balanced drink. Combining the salty taste of a chicken broth with the sweetness and acidity of dried fruit, it is truly a marvel of layered flavours. Definetly worth a try if you fancy complex taste profiles.
I’m usually quite skeptical about downtown bars, but this one proved me wrong. Amazing , ambient bar right in the heart of Krakow’s Old Town with an amazing selection of very unique cocktails. Special credits to our bartender, Borys, who was very helpful and knowledgeable of the cocktails, full of recommendations! 10/10👌
Loved the concept of Mr Blacks. Atmosphere was extremely laid back, gentle music with requests on the "menu" to keep noise to a minimum. This all added to the experience as it gave us a chance to sit back and savour the cocktails. We chose The Wheel of Fortune (summery, fruity and it didn't even taste like alcohol even though it was tequila based) and The Hanged Man (Raspberry foam and a burnt butter concoction that was a party in my mouth). Slightly more expensive than other places in Kraków HOWEVER still cheaper than places in the UK for artisan cocktails. For 4 drinks it was approx 40 sterling including the tip.
