This restaurant is really awesome. The staff is very friendly, helpful and you can really see, that they want you to feel at home at their restaurant. The food is delicious and prepared with much love. We ordered a traditional Polish soup, pierogis and a cake at the end. We are happily coming back to this place! Let me cut to the point: Do NOT miss the opportunity to dine here. It’s absolutely obvious from the first bite that this kitchen cares deeply about the quality of the food they serve. I had the largest pork cutlet with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, and potatoes dumplings. The cutlet was exquisite, juicy, crispy, and perfectly balanced with a light and airy lemon dressing. The mashed potatoes were fluffy, with zero clumps; a sign that the cooks care about the end result. And the sauerkraut? Perfectly seasoned, and crisp. A perfect complement to the delicious pork cutlet. Do not miss a chance to dine here. As a matter of fact, make a special trip; it’s well worth a foodie trip. I’ve made a recommendation to Michelin to add this restaurant to its Red List, as it’s easily worth a Gourmand recommendation.
Wonderful time at Po Krakosku. We were served by the gentleman whose name I unfortunately didn’t ask. He gave us wonderful recommendations based on what he genuinely liked, and there was 0 pushiness to order more / order expensively. We ended up trying the Sour Rye Soup, Potato Pancake with Meat Goulash, Pro Krakosku Herring, and Cabbage Wrap. Potato pancake is their signature dish, and man it was delicious. Everything else was flavourful and heart as well, made to fine dining quality. We enjoyed the service by the gentleman - no BS, straight-talker, and gave genuinely good service. The place is well furnished, washroom is squeaky clean- yet retaining a quiet sense of vintage and flavour. Will recommend!
An incredible dining experience in Krakow! I started with the soup, which was very tasty. For the main course, the beef cheek was unbelievably tender, served with potato dumplings and sautéed vegetables. I finished with a divine apple pie for dessert (it looked so good that I didn't even think to take a photo before eating it)
We were lucky to have a bunch of restaurants very close to our AirBnB and Po Krakosku was one of them, it was our first proper meal out and it set the scene for many more. After some confusion about our booking, the boss sat us down, was very welcoming, and answered our questions about the menu. I went for the schnitzel and w bacon sauerkraut and my bro had the ribs, veg to share - everything was excellent. We wanted to go again but it was shut for a refurb the next day so we were lucky to have got in before that. Very recommended and look forward to returning some day!
