Just returned from a trip to Krakow where we stay at the metropolitan. Very cleaning, great staff and delicious cocktails. I would recommend and will be going back to this hotel. The train goes straight from krakow airport to 2 mins walk away from the hotel although you wouldn’t know because we never heard any trains. They are every on the hour and half an hour. I believe if you stay on the train it takes you straight to the salt mines but I didn’t go so couldn’t be 100%. The hotel is 12 mins walk from the main square and the castle which was definitely worth a visit. And if you wanted to stay local to the hotel there is a square about 3 mins walk away at the top of the street and turn left. There are cafes here, museums, a synagogue and loads of buggy tours. I would highly recommend the Jewish ghetto tour.
I Would Definitely Return First time visitor to Krakow. I chose this hotel due to its proximity Krakow Glowny (one stop away). I really enjoyed my five night stay and would definitely stay here again if I ever return. A Few Highlights We were greeted with a handwritten note in our room extending a warm welcome to the hotel and Krakow and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. We did drink the bottle of wine as we're not drinkers. But, that didn't matter. It was the thought and first impression that counted. There was a reusable water bottle in our room and a water dispenser - hot and cold in the hall for guests to enjoy. I would return to this hotel just for this offering alone. It's so difficulty too stay hydrated when you're at a hotel. Most hotels no longer offer ice and few that I've stayed in offer free water. So, to find that the hotel offered free water AND cold, it made my entire stay so much easier and pleasurable, especially given that a few days of my stay were hot, hot, hot. I could go on but I'll end here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend anybody and everybody to stay here if you're in search of a centrally and conveniently located hotel with great service, reasonable rates and a nice restaurant. Loved our 5 night stay at this hotel. The location is an ideal distance from the old town/main square and the Jewish quarter. With a train station close by too. All staff were great, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We booked room only so can’t speak to breakfast options. But did have a couple of drinks in the bar in the evening where there was a good atmosphere/music. Would definitely recommend.
Just returned from a 5 night stay in Krakow with friends. Our friends chose this hotel and we were all very pleased with it. We stayed room only. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable with a compact but thoughtfully designed bathroom. We had everything we needed and the location was very convenient for the centre and access to the local trams and trains. We did have breakfast in the hotel a couple of times for convenience and this was fine for our needs. There are also many good restaurants nearby for other food options. Overall a great hotel and we all enjoyed our stay. Would definitely use again and recommend.
