Description
Begin your tour at Kraków’s Main Market Square, where on 24 March 1794 Kościuszko took his historic oath to lead the uprising. Your guide will recreate the atmosphere of that day, explaining the political tensions and national significance of the event.
Next, take a private transfer to Kościuszko Mound, a key Kraków landmark. At the Kościuszko Museum, discover the life of Tadeusz Kościuszko, whose legacy spans Poland, France, and the American War of Independence. The exhibition highlights his roles as commander, thinker, reformer, and defender of liberty.
Climb the winding path to the summit of Kościuszko Mound and enjoy extensive views of Kraków, the Vistula River, Wawel Hill, and surrounding mountains on clear days. Your guide will explain the significance of the mound as a national symbol rather than a traditional monument.
Return to the Old Town for a guided walk following Kościuszko’s footsteps. Depending on timing and conditions, this may include visits to the Main Market Square plaque, a townhouse linked to Kościuszko’s Kraków stay, the area near the Cloth Hall, the Capuchin Church, and the route toward Wawel Hill.
