Description

Begin your journey with a short drive from Krakow into Nowa Huta, once envisioned as a utopian worker’s paradise. At Plac Centralny, walk through the monumental square and avenues designed to reflect socialist ideals. Your driver/guide can stop at various key photo points as you explore this architectural time capsule. Next, visit Arka Pana Church, a remarkable church built by locals despite decades of government opposition. It's an architectural statement of faith and rebellion, with powerful symbolism woven into its design. If time and interest allow, you can also explore the Museum of Communist Poland, a small museum offering insights into daily life during the communist period. It's a nostalgic and eye-opening stop that adds context to what you’ve seen on the ride. Afterward, relax as your driver/guide takes you back to your accommodation in Krakow, having seen a very different side of the city.
