DescriptionVisit Strbske Pleso Lake, a beautiful glacial lake that is a popular tourist attraction. Located in Slovakia's Tatra National Park, it is a natural habitation for a variety of animals. Many rare and endemic animals and plant species are native to the High Tatras. After Veké Hincovo Pleso, it is the second-largest glacial lake. The High Tatras has a depth of up to 20 meters. It has no visible outflow stream and has underground springs. Its surface is frozen for about 155 days out of the year. Next to it is a village called Strebske Pleso, which is Slovakia's highest point. It all began in 1872 with the construction of the first forester's house. Then it grew in popularity as a result of its breathtaking views and location. Strbské Pleso offers excellent skiing conditions in the winter, attracting skiers who enjoy alpine, downhill, and cross-country skiing. The silence and natural beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains are special to this location and an ideal spot for relaxing. You will have two hours of free time there, during which you can go for a walk, rest, or order a meal in a restaurant while admiring the stunning views of the Strbske Pleso lake and the Tatra Mountains. After all, the path to the high peak of the Tatra mountain never loses its appeal.
