HAUST

The best restaurant we’ve been in Krakow. Great wine collection and the food was just amazing. Can only recommend!
Lovely evening at Haust! We found a mention of it on a Reddit post of places to try in Krakow and we are sure glad we came. Fantastic cocktails. Creative dishes! We would love to come back!
I am giving five stars because I appreciate the ambition of the Restaurant and there were elements of the meal that I genuinely enjoyed. However, I left slightly disappointed, mainly because my expectations for a restaurant of this level were higher. For a restaurant with such a thoughtful and seasonal menu, I would expect more communication between the kitchen and the table. When dishes are served, a short explanation of the ingredients, the idea behind the dish, and how the chef intends it to be experienced would make a big difference. Without this, some dishes felt less clear than they probably were meant to be. We started with the Polish canola oil with bun and whey. The idea sounded interesting, but the serving felt a little underwhelming. The bread itself was quite basic and did not feel refined enough for this kind of restaurant. We also tried the potato dumplings with poppy seed and “Pasternak” cheese. This was recommended to us and sounded special on the menu, but on the plate it felt rather simple and, to my taste, not particularly memorable. The young cabbage with mustard, chives, grilled onion and capers was the strongest dish of the evening. The cabbage itself was excellent, and the green sauce was lively, fresh, and very well matched with the dish. However, the darker sauce on the plate felt harder to understand. I assume it was meant to create contrast, but for me it did not fully work with the cabbage. Interestingly, that darker sauce worked much better with the pork belly with mead, plum, horseradish and buckwheat. The pork belly itself was nicely prepared and served on a good base, but the dish felt like it needed something to bring all the elements together. I found myself using the sauce from the cabbage dish with the pork belly, and in that combination it made much more sense. Overall, I respect the concept and there were clearly good ideas in the meal, especially in the cabbage dish. Still, the experience did not fully come together for me. At this level, I would expect more refinement in the details, more explanation from the service, and a stronger sense that each dish is complete and clearly communicated.
Just wow. 🤍 Haust completely stole our hearts. The space is effortlessly cool, the music is on point, and the vibe makes you want to stay forever. The staff welcomed us with such genuine warmth, we felt truly taken care of from the very first moment. The food? SO good. Creative, bold, and full of unexpected flavor combinations! Honestly, it feels like a secret spot you almost don’t want to share… but it deserves all the hype. The perfect date night spot and easily one of the best dinners of our trip. ✨
I wish they had more vegetarian options for main dishes. Classic, cozy for me more French vibes. Wine and variety of meals including desserts. Friendly atmosphere, romantic vibes. Quick service
