If you can get it for cheap - go for it, but don't bother if price for the room is over 300-350 zł/night or so. It's a hotel that's nice in some aspects (rooms are spacious, there's AC and mini-fridge which is a nice bonus, simple pool, sauna and gym), but lacking in other aspects - rooms and entire building is visibly old and seen better days, no laundry room on-site and laundry services are insanely expensive, mediocre location with quite poor transit options that adds at least extra 20-25 minutes to get anywhere interesting.
We stayed for 6 nights, and this was my second stay at Novotel. I would recommend booking well in advance, as the prices could be lower. We travelled by car. Would be good to know in advance:Parking costs 7 PLN per hour or 70 PLN per day (24h). If you’re staying for several days, the daily rate is much better value. Alternatively, if you’re lucky, you may find free on-street parking nearby (just make sure to check the local parking regulations). The gym is quite small, with space for 4 people, so good workout can’t be guaranteed. The swimming pool is also on the smaller side. Breakfast offered a good selection of fresh food and costs 80 PLN per person, including tea and coffee from a self-service machine. The hotel was clean, tidy and well maintained throughout our stay. A special mention to the housekeeping team, who were exceptionally friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Their kindness and professionalism really stood out. The reception staff were friendly, polite and spoke English as well as other languages. Check-out available on the reception or even faster - simply drop your room key into the designated box and you’re ready to go. Personally, I usually prefer hotels that include free parking for guests, as I think it offers better overall value. However, we had a very pleasant stay at Novotel.
Great cozy four-star place circa 5 km from Old Town. Reasonable price. Good breakfast buffet. A/C, small cooler, TV, fast broadband, tea, and Nespresso – nice surprise! Even an iron board! Fitness and a water pool are available.
Incredible value! This was one of our best stays in Poland. The customer service was outstanding, and the breakfast buffet offered a fantastic selection. All three of our kids (ages 2, 6, and 7) were happy the entire stay, which says a lot. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the soccer fan area with all World Cup games, foosball (pilkarzyki) table, and the kids’ corner with great snacks. The pool and gym were also very well maintained. We will definitely be back!
We had a fantastic stay at Novotel Kraków City West. The front desk team was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of fresh options and dinner was just as impressive — we ordered ribeye steaks and they were cooked perfectly. The bar staff were kind and attentive, which made the evenings even better. This is the second Novotel we’ve stayed in and once again it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend. Five stars
