On Sunday July 10 th , St Muredach`s Schola Cantorum, a female chamber choir from Ireland, will sing the 6pm mass in the beautiful church of St Peter and St Paul, Grodzka 52, Kraków and will perform a short concert immediately afterwards. As well as chant and 16 th century polyphony, their programme features music by Irish composers as well as some pieces in the Irish language (Gaelige).
St Muredach`s Schola Cantorum are a female chamber choir from Ireland. They
are all members of St Muredach’s Cathedral Choir and were established to
further explore and interpret sacred music through the ages especially Irish
music. They sing with the cathedral choir sing every Sunday at 11am mass in St
Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina and at other liturgical highpoints in the church
year. They have sung in Westminster Cathedral in London, at the International
Eucharistic Congress in Dublin, and recently were invited to sing in St Peter's
basilica in Rome. They also sing non- sacred repertoire and have performed
concerts for various fundraising events outside of the cathedral.
