We had a truly wonderful dinner at Kapłony i Szczerzuje a la carte. Every dish was prepared with great care, using fresh ingredients and offering a flavor profile that was both highly original and authentically local. The overall quality was absolutely excellent. We dined in a private room as a group of 12, and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish. The meal began with excellent starters, followed by amazing soups, and continued with beautifully prepared main courses and delightful desserts. Each course was impressive in both presentation and taste. The selection of wines and spirits was also top-notch, perfectly complementing the meal and adding to the overall sense of refinement. It was a memorable dining experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for outstanding food, thoughtful service, and a truly special atmosphere.
We had a fabulous food experience, Quality of food and service : super 👌. Max helped us with wine selection and vodka, he took a great care of our party. He was really knowledgeable. The restaurant have very impressive wine collection, we picked very good polish wine, thanks Max!! We really enjoyed everything : food, fantastic atmosphere, great location. Desserts were " cherry on top" of our dinner. Love it!! Honey comb with cottage cheese!!! Simple but toasted amazing!! Thank you for making our stay in Krakow even more memorable 💖. Thank you! The BEST Polish restaurant in Kraków, by far - Kapłony i Szczeżuje à la carte an absolute must-visit when you’re here. The menu reflects the complexity of Polish history through the centuries and serves as a time capsule to the best parts of it. I visit the restaurant every time I’m in town.
I recently visited Restauracja Kapłony i Szczeżuje with my friend Petr, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Poland. We enjoyed a selection of traditional Polish dishes, all prepared with great care and rich, authentic flavors. Every plate felt like a celebration of local cuisine. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our evening enjoyable. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered, and the overall value is impressive. On top of that, the location is truly beautiful—elegant, atmospheric, and perfect for a relaxed meal or a special occasion. If you’re looking to discover Polish cuisine at its best, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended.
I don't know where to start! Definitely the best food we've had during stay in Krakow. All the food we had were fantastic!! Beef tartare and smoked herring salad were very fresh and tasty dish. All the mains, Beef cheek was amazingly soft, Catfish cooked perfectly, Beef shank with fresh horseradish kick was very refreshing. We are all really enjoyed and happy to discovered traditional Polish/Jewish food. Someone was mentioned about the timing of serving food: I get it, but dinner should be spend good time to taste lovely food (specially if you are in the restaurant!!) and enjoy conversation with family and friends to have a special moment... If looking for a quick food, it's not your place here. Or just simply ask staff to bring all the food together? Bright and sophisticated atmosphere, very attentive waitress made our dinner even more memorable. We will visit again whenever go back to Krakow!!
