- Many stairs to climb: The tour begins with a descent of approximately 800 stairs down into the mine, so a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
Cool underground temperature: The temperature underground remains constant at around 17-18°C (62-64°F) all year round. Please bring a jacket or a warm sweater.
Significant walking distance: You will walk roughly 2.5 to 3 kilometers (about 1.5 to 2 miles) along the underground tourist route, so comfortable walking shoes are essential.
