Description
Set off on a memorable culinary journey through Kraków’s Kazimierz, where bold flavours, local traditions, and everyday life intertwine. The experience begins at Hala Targowa, a much-loved local market that has served Kraków’s residents for generations. Here, you’ll sample classic Polish specialties, including smoky sausage, regional cheeses, handmade pierogi, crunchy pickles, and a sweet treat sourced directly from market vendors—an authentic and flavourful introduction to Polish cuisine.
From the market, your guide will lead you into the vibrant streets of Kazimierz, a district celebrated for its artistic spirit and ever-evolving food scene. Along the way, you’ll enjoy one of Kraków’s most iconic street foods: zapiekanka—crispy, warm, and generously topped, just as locals have loved it for decades.
The journey continues in a retro, communist-era bar that offers a glimpse into Poland’s recent past. In this atmospheric setting, you’ll taste traditional Polish zakąski, including smalec served with bread and pickles, hearty bigos, and maczanka—one of Kraków’s oldest culinary specialties. The experience is rounded out with a tasting of traditional Polish vodka, an essential element of local food culture.
This tour is more than a tasting experience—it’s a cultural journey that reveals how food reflects daily life, history, and shared traditions. Kazimierz unveils its character one bite at a time.
At the end of the tour, you’re invited to stay at the bar, soak in the nostalgic atmosphere, and continue the evening with your group—an authentic opportunity to experience Kraków the local way, through good food, conversation, and an unhurried pace.
