Description
Travel by transfer from Krakow to the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. Upon arrival, enjoy a short break before the guided tour begins.
The tour covers two parts: Auschwitz I and Birkenau, located 3 km apart. The operator provides transfers between the camps. Your tour leader will explain the schedule and manage timings throughout the visit.
The visit starts at Auschwitz I with a professional guide for around 2 hours. Enter through the main gate bearing the inscription “Arbeit Macht Frei” (work sets you free). See the brick barracks, prisoner artifacts, reconstructed camp layouts, and the remaining gas chambers and crematories.
Next, continue to Birkenau for about 1 hour. Explore the wooden barracks where nearly 1,000 people lived in harsh conditions. View the ruins of gas chambers and the crematorium, reminders of the industrial genocide perpetrated by Nazi Germany.
After the visit, return to Krakow and disembark at your original pickup point.
