  • Explore the royal chambers and learn about the realities of the rulers' lives

Description

The 'Royal Route' was the ceremonial path from the Florian Gate to the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill, once traversed by royal motorcades, reflecting Poland's historic power and prestige when Kraków was its capital. Today, this route is a tourist's delight, encompassing significant landmarks such as the Church of St. Mary, the Market Square with the Passage Rows of Sukiennica, the University Quarter, the Franciscan Monastery, St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral, and finally, Wawel Hill itself with the Cathedral. Accompanied by a local guide, we'll walk the paths of Polish royalty, whether on the Main Square or Wawel Hill. The Royal Chambers preserve their legacy through portraits and remnants, offering glimpses into their lives—dancing, making decisions, and flirting. In the museum and Cathedral, immerse yourself in the spirit of Old Poland. Experience the deep Catholic heritage intertwined with a profound yearning for life's pleasures, a sentiment that played a role in the country's partition in the late 18th century.
