Vidok Restaurant and Café is so-called because of the magnificent view it provides on the Vistula River and one of the most impressive historic buildings in Krakow, Wawel Castle. With a modern and spacious interior that can accommodate up to 200 people, Vidok is ideal for special occasions or simply for an excuse to appreciate the view while enjoying the attentive professional service.
On the menu, you can take your pick of Polish and international cuisine. For starters there is Herling in cream, sour-rye soup with white sausage, mushroom and potatoes or traditional broth with noodles. Dumplings with potatoes, cheese and onions are typically Polish but the potato dumplings with boletus mushrooms and chicken in cream sauce are quite unique and worth a try.
The go-for dishes are old-style duck in cranberry sauce or marinated pork ribs roasted with spicy onion chutney. There is a wide range of meat dishes and vegetarian dishes as well as a separate menu for children.
Desserts in the café include cheesecake, apple tart, chocolate cake and a selection of ice creams. At Vidok there is a rich selection of cocktails, Polish and international beer and other liqueurs. There is also plenty to drink from the non-alcoholic menu with good quality coffee and tea options.
