Reviews
While visiting the salt mines, it's actually a great place to either have lunch before or after the tour. The prices are reasonable, the food is really great and the portions are quite big. The place itself is amazing, beautiful and roomy with a nice atmosphere to it, giving you a good combination of chilling and lounging vibe. The staff were very nice and polite, at first.... Then I ordered an extra amount of ketchup and mayonnaise (in small cups and you pay for it.... 😧😧), they delayed so much that we finished the food, ordered the bill and then they decided to bring them. When I said no, it's too late now, the attitude changed and we were treated like the worst customers ever. That is why I give a lower than usual rating, even though they could do so much better
Very nice restaurant in front of the salt mine. Obviously it is in front of tourist hotspot and that's why the prices are higher than usual. However the taste and service is still good. We ordered a 1L jar of lemonade and it was very good. I ordered the vegetarian pierogi which was filled with mushrooms and onions. It was quite good and in steamed form. My partner ordered pork chop and it came with really good haselbach potatoes and pickled cucumber salad which also tasted good according to my partner
It was a really nice and cozy restaurant just in front of the Salt mine. We got a tour of the Salt mine and were so tired and just headed into this restaurant, it was around 17:00 and they told us that the kitchen is closed but when saw our faces😅 they got our order. The staff were so friendly, polite and exceptionally kind. The food was good and tasty, though I expected richer flavours and more seasoning. That might be because the kitchen was already closed and they prepared something quickly for us.
I had a really enjoyable meal here while visiting Wieliczka. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and take your time. It feels comfortable and relaxed, whether you’re stopping in after exploring the salt mine or just looking for a good local meal. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, with generous portions that definitely leave you satisfied. You can tell there’s attention to detail in the way the dishes are prepared and presented. Traditional Polish flavors really shine here, and the ingredients taste high quality. It’s the kind of place where you try something new and end up pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. The staff was patient, happy to answer questions, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Even when the restaurant started getting busy, the service stayed consistent and professional. Prices felt fair for the quality and portion sizes. It’s not overly fancy, but it delivers where it matters most: good food, a comfortable setting, and kind service. If you’re in Wieliczka and looking for a solid place to eat, this is definitely worth a visit. I’d gladly come back again.
There was a great food, nicely served. The club sandwich is remake of it, but also tasty. The chicken soup also was great. The chicken breast is served with just a little sides. They have a children menu as well. I recommend to make a reservation ahead.
