Great place, main courses were excellent. (Duck breast & koshuto or something, tasted like risotto). Cheese cake could be improved. This one I would only give 3 stars unfortunately. Go check out cheesecake factory in the US and bring this back to Poland. :)
First time in Krakow and first restaurant we tried. Very warm welcome from all members of the restaurant team. Food was excellent, tasty and prepared well. Few vodka shots after sharing a cheese cake. Over all can't fault this restaurant at all.
We were truly impressed with our dinner at this place. The atmosphere is captivating and feels different from the moment you walk in. The service was flawless. The food is beautifully presented, and the menu is small but well curated. The flavor combinations are interesting. The only thing that didn’t particularly stand out to us taste-wise was the chicken skewer. The desserts were phenomenal. We highly recommend this place.
I stopped in late on a Saturday night and was lucky to grab a window table. After an eight-hour flight, the excellent service was especially appreciated, and the food definitely hit the spot. started with the tomato soup with crème fraîche and pulled dough, which had a nice sweetness, and the pulled dough added a unique, memorable touch. For my main, I had the chicken shashlik, which was presented with a tableside flame. It was solid and satisfying, even if not the most standout version I've had. Overall, a great option for both locals and tourists, you can count on a good experience here.
During our three-day trip to Krakow, we were excited to explore Polish cuisine—and Pierwszy Stopień turned out to be the perfect place to do so. It offers a modern take on traditional Polish dishes, making it an excellent introduction to the local food scene. We visited as a group of two adults and two children. The restaurant is very popular, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. We tried the breaded mushrooms, the traditional Polish-style spare ribs, and the tomato soup—and every single dish was incredibly delicious. The quality and flavors really impressed us and honestly turned me into a fan of Polish cuisine. If you enjoy meat, the spare ribs are a must-try. They are served with a plum sauce that’s not quite like classic barbecue sauce—in fact, I’d say it’s even better. Rich, slightly sweet, and absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for a wonderful introduction to Polish food with a modern twist, Pierwszy Stopień is definitely worth a visit.
