We made a reservation a week before for 7pm in the peak of summer; 27 July and got it easily. Restaurant was full when we entered. Seems a very touristy place. Food was nice, especially the duck which is the main reason why we visited this restaurant. And the rest were just average. Cheesecake was more cake than cheese which is very different from New York cheesecake or basque cheesecake. My husband enjoyed the perogi but I was neutral to them as I felt the dough was very thick for a dumpling - just my personal preference. Thus just skip the rest of the items. Service was really good; attentive staff. We had 1 duck soup, a mix Perogi platter, a half duck, a cheesecake, 3-4 glasses of alcoholic drinks and 2 espresso. The bill was 348 polish zloty.
Made a reservation but came about 20 min early, hostess greeted us nicely and sat us at our table. Our waiter was sweet and attentive. She knew the dishes well and overall gave us amazing service. The place had a warm and relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy our time there. The food was delicious. Well made, seasoned to perfection and the different components of the dish complemented each other well. Amazing experience definitely a must visit and re-visit 🌟
Impressive restaurant. Local food and really friendly waiters. Absolutely enjoyed our meal. Special mention to Cracovian style duck and beef goulash. Also recommend final vodka digestive shots ;) Worth it!
Nice place for your Polish cuisine. We booked in advance. We liked it. Nice and supportive staff, and you can talk here. Price is rather high considering it is in Poland. The apple pie at the end was a very great dessert!
Czarna Kaczka in Kraków is an absolute gem for anyone looking to experience authentic Polish cuisine at its finest. The atmosphere is warm. The food was exceptional. The traditional soup served in bread was amazing. The duck soup with beef-filled pierogi was savory and balanced. The pork chop was cooked perfect, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, while the potato pancakes with mushroom sauce and the pierogi filled with mushroom and cabbage were incredibly satisfying. To top it all off, we tried all the desserts on the menu, and each one was a delight. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kraków!
