I had wanted to visit this restaurant ever since before I left Japan, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! I wasn’t very hungry when I arrived, but after trying a few bites, everything was so delicious that I ended up ordering a full set meal as well. I come from a region in Japan that’s famous for gyoza dumplings, but these dumplings were even more authentic than I had imagined. They were absolutely delicious! The matcha-based drink was also refreshing and easy to enjoy. I honestly wish I could have something like it back in Japan. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the staff member who served us (and even spoke Japanese!) was kind and attentive. I’m definitely planning to visit Poland again, and when I do, I’d love to come back here too! Bardzo dziękuję!
A place with potential. We went to this place because of its location, but we're disappointed because it lacks that “Japanese vibe,” and the service is pretty unobtrusive. The food is good, and the prices are fair, but it isn't worth visiting just for that.
A lovely cafe in a great location with large glass windows that bring in beautiful natural light and allow me to enjoy the view while dining. They also have outdoor seating. The cafe shares the space with the Japanese museum and souvenir shop, giving the atmosphere a lively and dynamic feeling. The food was delicious, especially the traditional Japanese meal sets, but the other menu options are also very good. I enjoyed it so much that I came back another day to try their breakfast, which is available until 12:50 PM. I really appreciated the detailed menu descriptions explaining how the dishes are served and where some ingredients come from. It’s a thoughtful touch that feels unique and informative. Their tea selection is extensive, and I wish I had more time to try different options. While waiting for the meal, they served edamame and the waitress kindly explained how to eat it, which is a very considerate gesture for people unfamiliar with it. The background music was also pleasant and not too loud, making the cafe comfortable for conversation. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes and desserts.
To be honest, the idea is great, I don’t recall Japanese cafe’s in Krakow. The place is great too overlooking Wawel. But the waiting time in queue is more than 30 minutes when some tables are reserved only in few hours - does it makes sense? Service is very bad too because they are understaffed. In terms of menu it’s very interesting but we have tried only dessert and tea. I liked Tea preparation table. Unfortunately waitress could not even suggest which tea to choose so you’d better come prepared. I really hope they will somehow improve the service and maybe add few more tables (because there is extra space for that).
Mixed feelings. I think it could be a fantastic place to eat but needs some improvements. First we had to wait for a long time. There were two 4 seat tables free for two hours but noone was placed there. Also they only sat 2 people at the big tables even tho there would have been plenty of room for a second party. (Sure is nice to have privacy but I'd guess most guests would rather skip an hour of waiting). Prices are really fair and you get a good amount of food (especially the lunch menu). We had matchas which tasted great and were made in front of the guests on a dedicated tea/matcha table. Cool concept! Small edamame to start was included. The Tofu Lunch option was tasty but lacked flavor. Miso soup and rice were rather bland. Fresh fruit (in our case melons) were incredible tho! Also the tofu in peanut marinade and pickled veggies were really tasty! Unfortunately whenever the sliding doors opened (seating area is right next to museum entrance) a cold draft blew through the restaurant which was a bit unpleasant. A small curtain would be really helpful there! Overall nice experience and with some small tweeks with food and seating it would be fantastic!
